Hesperia put another one in the bag on Saturday to keep their perfect season alive. They came within a single set of losing the streak, but they secured a 2-1 W against the Valley View Eagles. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Scorpions have posted since September 11, 2024.

Hesperia was led to victory by Dylanna Akwaboah and Kitana Tapopo. Akwaboah had 17 assists and ten digs, while Tapopo had 13 digs and three aces. Akwaboah has been hot for a while, having posted 13 or more assists the last 19 times she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Emily Ventroni, who had four digs and three aces.

Hesperia's win bumped their record up to 10-0. As for Valley View, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost five of their last six matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-5 record this season.

Hesperia will venture away from home to square off against Silverado at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Valley View, they have already played their next contest, a 1-0 victory against La Quinta on the 23rd.
