Recap: Lemmon Cowboys vs. Newell Irrigators
The Lemmon Cowboys entered their tilt with the Newell Irrigators with three consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with four. Lemmon came out on top against Newell by a score of 52-44 on Friday. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Lemmon also won the last time the pair played back in February of 2023.

Lemmon pushed their record up to 7-1 with that win, which was their third straight on the road. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 59.7 points per game. As for Newell, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 3-3.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Lemmon will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Wakpala at 6:30 p.m. on January 9th. Wakpala will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps South Dakota Rankings (they are ranked 100th, while Lemmon is ranked 34th). As for Newell, they will head out on the road to face off against Oelrichs at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
