Volleyball Recap: Savannah Arts Academy Starts off Right with Win over Jenkins

Savannah Arts Academy gave their fans exactly what they wanted out of a home opener on Thursday. They came out on top against the Jenkins Warriors by a score of 2-0. The Panthers have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Warriors, too.

Savannah Arts Academy easily took the second set, but they let things get interesting in the other. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-18, 25-11.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Savannah Arts Academy to victory, but perhaps none more so than Natalie Lehto, who had 13 assists and three digs. Those 13 assists gave Lehto a new career-high.

Coincidentally, Savannah Arts Academy and Jenkins will both be playing Savannah Country Day the next time they take the court. The Warriors will head out to face the Hornets at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday, while the Panthers will play them later in the day, at 7:00 p.m.
