Recap: Edna Karr Cougars vs. A.J. Ellender Patriots        
        
		
            
 The third road  match was the charm for the Edna Karr Cougars, as they earned their first road win of the season. They took down A.J. Ellender 53-39  on Thursday. Given Edna Karr's advantage  in MaxPreps' Louisiana basketball rankings  (they are ranked 76th, while A.J. Ellender is ranked 258th), the result  wasn't entirely unexpected.
 Edna Karr got their  victory on the backs of several key players, but it was  Cass Antoine out in front who  scored 17 points. The  game was  Antoine's tenth in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was  Samiya Clayton, who  scored 12 points.
 Edna Karr is  on a roll lately: they've  won four of their last five matchups,  which provided a nice bump to their 7-3 record this season. As for A.J. Ellender, they are  on a three-game losing streak  that has dropped them down to 3-7.
 Both  teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Edna Karr will  take on Salmen at 6:00  p.m.  on Tuesday. As for A.J. Ellender, they will head out on the road to face off against Central Lafourche at 5:30  p.m.  on Monday.
