 There's no place like home for Mesa, who bounced back after a tough loss on the road  last Monday. They walked away with  a   6-1  victory over the Mountain View Toros  on Tuesday. This was a revenge  match for Mesa, as the team was forced to settle for  a  5-0 loss when these two played  last Monday.
  Luke Hilton was  excellent,  going 2-for-3 with three  RBI and a  triple. Another player making a difference was  Fabian Alvara, who  scored two  runs while going 1-for-3.
 On Mountain View's side,  JP Hurtado was a  force to be reckoned with on the mound despite the final result: he  struck out six batters over  five innings while giving up just two earned  (and three unearned) runs off   eight  hits. Hurtado has been consistent recently: he hasn't  given up  more than two  walks in four consecutive pitching appearances.
 On the hitting side, Mountain View saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was  John Hunt, who  went 2-for-3 with  an  RBI.
 Mesa is  on a roll lately: they've  won three of their last four contests,  which provided a nice bump to their 5-13 record  this season. As for Mountain View, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-11.
 Both  teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Mesa will  square off against Alhambra at 6:00  p.m.  on Wednesday. Alhambra is strutting in with some hitting muscle, as they've averaged 7.3  runs per game this season. As for Mountain View, they will head out on the road to  take on  Corona del Sol at 3:45  p.m.  on Thursday. Corona del Sol and Mountain View are at an even 4-4 over their past eight head-to-heads.
