Baseball Recap: Monrovia Takes a Loss

The Monrovia Wildcats came up short against the Duarte Falcons on Wednesday and fell 8-5.

Monrovia got a good showing from Alex Myers, who didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit over four innings pitched. That's the fewest hits Myers has allowed since back in February of 2024.

At the plate, Monrovia saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Troy Grise, who went 2-for-4 with one run and one RBI.

Monrovia has also been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 20-7 record this season. As for Duarte, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 15-12.

As of now, neither Monrovia nor the Falcons have any future games scheduled.
