Sanford is a perfect 3-0 against Sierra Grande since January of 2019 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Saturday. The Sanford Mustangs will be taking part in a tournament against the Sierra Grande Panthers at 7:30 p.m. Both come into the game bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Sanford's tournament run continued when they took on Crested Butte on Thursday. Sanford took down Crested Butte 65-48. The win continues a trend for the Mustangs in their matchups with the Titans: they've now won seven in a row.

Meanwhile, Sierra Grande earned a 54-43 victory over Center on Thursday. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Panthers.

Sierra Grande pushed their record up to 18-4 with the win, which was their 11th straight at home dating back to last season. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 66.4 points over those games. As for Sanford, their victory bumped their record up to 17-5.

Sanford took their win against Sierra Grande in their previous matchup back in December of 2024 by a conclusive 66-45. The rematch might be a little tougher for Sanford since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
