Jamarcus Harrison Delivers Best Effort of Season
East Hall was led to victory by Jamarcus Harrison, who turned in his biggest game of the season on Friday. Harrison rushed for 231 yards and four touchdowns while picking up 10.0 yards per carry, and also threw for 168 yards and a touchdown, good enough to set a new career-high in rushing yards in the process. He showed off some serious burst, cutting through the defense on one rush that went for 55 yards.
Harrison must have West Hall's number; he was a force to be reckoned with the last time he faced them too. When Harrison last faced the Spartans back in August of 2023, he threw for 218 yards and three touchdowns on only 19 passes, and also rushed for 98 yards on only ten carries.

Jefferson was led to victory by Gavin Markey, who turned in his biggest game of the season on Friday. Markey's rushing production has been exceptional recently as that marked his fourth straight game with at least 105 rushing yards.
Markey and Jefferson are taking a road trip to face off against Oconee County at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Markey will face off against Titus Watkins, the Warriors' star QB. So who wins this QB-duel? There's only one way to know for sure.

Brett Sturm's Rushing Yards a New Career-High
On Friday, West Hall had to settle for second even though Brett Sturm put up the best numbers he has all season. Sturm rushed for 101 yards and two touchdowns on only 14 carries, and also threw for 215 yards and three touchdowns while picking up 10.8 yards per attempt, good enough to set a new career-high in rushing yards in the process. He has become a key player for West Hall: the team is 2-1 when he posts at least two rushing touchdowns, but 2-4 otherwise.
West Hall is on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-5. Sturm and West Hall will welcome Monroe Area at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.

Oconee County found a leader in Caiden Wood as the squad took down Monroe Area on Friday. Wood was unstoppable, rushing for 172 yards and two touchdowns while picking up 7.8 yards per carry.
Oconee County has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six matchups, which provided a massive bump to their 5-4 record this season. Wood and Oconee County will face off against Jefferson at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.

Elijah Buffington Puts an End to East Hall's Losing Streak on Friday
Thanks in part to Elijah Buffington, East Hall said goodbye to their five-game losing streak. Buffington wasn't messing around on Friday, making 20 total tackles (4.0 for loss). The game was his sixth straight with eight or more total tackles.
