Basketball Recap: Make It Four in a Row for Madison Plains

Madison Plains hadn't done well against Greeneview recently (they were 1-8 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Wednesday. The Madison Plains Golden Eagles managed a 44-39 victory over the Greeneview Rams. While the Golden Eagles didn't have the best season last year (they finished 6-17), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past.

Madison Plains' success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Anna Stroup led the charge by putting up 13 points and five rebounds. Another player making a difference was Claire Mason, who posted six points and eight rebounds.

Madison Plains (ranked 114th) will meet Greenon (ranked 264th) at 7:15 p.m. on Saturday. Meanwhile, Greeneview (ranked 122nd) will meet West Jefferson (ranked 270th) at 7:30 p.m. on December 18th.
