Football Recap: Davie County Piles Up the Points Against North Iredell + How To Watch

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Davie County). They took their game on Friday with ease, bagging a 35-0 win over the North Iredell Raiders. The War Eagles' offense checked out after the first half but had enough points banked to take the game anyway.

Draeton Nance had a dynamite game, rushing for 77 yards and a pair of scores on only five carries, while also throwing for 138 yards and one TD on only 12 passes. What's more, he racked up 133.3 passer rating, the most he's had since back in September of 2024. Another player making a difference was Braxton Bowling, who rushed for 68 yards and a pair of touchdowns on only nine carries.

The victory (which was Davie County's third in a row) raised their record to 4-2. Those wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 8.7 points on average over those games. As for North Iredell, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-5.
