While Houston Adventist Academy couldn't quite beat the Covenant Academy Patriots on Thursday, the two-point margin was a huge improvement compared to the 20-point loss they were dealt last Tuesday. Houston Adventist Academy fell just short of Covenant Academy by a score of 52-50. Houston Adventist Academy was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Covenant Academy apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played last Monday.

Despite the defeat, Houston Adventist Academy had strong showings from Ottis Crudup III, who scored 23 points along with six rebounds, and Nate Morrison, who scored 18 points along with three steals. That was a full 46% of Houston Adventist Academy's points, marking the tenth time in a row he's earned more than a third of the team's points. Another player making a difference was Rupert Cassanova, who scored a point along with ten rebounds and five steals.

Houston Adventist Academy has been struggling recently as they've lost six of their last eight matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 9-11 record this season. As for Covenant Academy, their win ended a six-game drought on the road and puts them at 1-9.
