Baseball Game Preview: Coupeville Wolves vs. Friday Harbor Wolverines

For the first time this season, Coupeville will have a chance to prove themselves in a conference matchup. They will welcome the Friday Harbor Wolverines at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Coupeville hasn't scored more than two runs for three games straight, a trend the squad is eager to reverse.

Coupeville fell victim to Blaine and their airtight pitching crew on Saturday. They came up short against the Borderites, falling 12-0.

Meanwhile, Friday Harbor came up short against Granite Falls on Saturday and fell 6-3.

Will Youngsman was cooking despite his team's loss, scoring two runs and stealing a base while getting on base in all three of his plate appearances.

Friday Harbor's loss dropped their record down to 1-1. As for Coupeville, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-3.

Everything went Coupeville's way against Friday Harbor when the teams last played back in May of 2024, as Coupeville made off with a 12-2 win. Will Coupeville repeat their success, or does Friday Harbor has a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
