Basketball Recap: Pell City Takes a Loss

Pell City was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their seventh straight defeat. They took a 59-45 bruising from the Shades Valley Mounties. While losing is never fun, the Panthers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Alabama basketball rankings (they are ranked 297th, while the Mounties are ranked 75th).

Pell City's loss dropped their record down to 1-19. As for Shades Valley, they moved to 12-9 with that win, which also ended their three-game losing streak.

Pell City will challenge Gadsden City at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Gadsden City will roll in looking for their sixth straight victory, something Pell City surely won't give up without a fight. As for Shades Valley, they will welcome Pleasant Grove at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
