Baseball Game Preview: North Hardin Trojans vs. Fairdale Bulldogs

The North Hardin Trojans will head out on the road to challenge the Fairdale Bulldogs at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. North Hardin has given up an average of 8.6 runs per game this season, but Monday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

North Hardin is coming in off a wild two-game stretch: after soaring to 12 runs on Friday, they were much more limited against Adair County on Friday. They lost 12-2 to the Indians. Trojans fans who chose to attend the game sure picked the wrong one: it was the first time the team's lost against the Indians since on Friday.

North Hardin saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Thomas Lirot, who went 2-for-3 with one RBI.

Meanwhile, Fairdale was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They came up short against Butler, falling 12-2.

Izzac Payero made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and scored two runs and stole a base while going 2-for-3. Fairdale is 2-1 when Payero posts two or more runs, but 2-7 otherwise.

North Hardin's defeat dropped their record down to 5-9. As for Fairdale, their loss dropped their record down to 4-8.
