Soccer Game Preview: Juan Diego Catholic vs. Ben Lomond

The Juan Diego Catholic Soaring Eagle are taking a road trip to face off against the Ben Lomond Scots at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Juan Diego Catholic has given up an average of 2.9 goals per game this season, but Wednesday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Juan Diego Catholic came up short against Uintah on Monday, falling 7-3.

The Soaring Eagle hit the Utes with a three-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Eryk Alvord, Keurik Bare, and Keanau LeiFoc.

Meanwhile, Ben Lomond waltzed into their contest last Friday with four straight wins... but they left with five. They never let the Wildcats get on the board and left with a 5-0 victory. Considering Ben Lomond have won five games by more than two goals this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

Ben Lomond's win was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 8-4. Those road victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 17 goals over those four matchups. As for Juan Diego Catholic, their loss dropped their record down to 6-10.

Juan Diego Catholic skirted past Ben Lomond 3-2 in their previous matchup back in May of 2024. Will the Soaring Eagle repeat their success, or do the Scots have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
