 Willamette is 0-10 against South Medford since May of 2016 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit  on Tuesday. The Willamette Wolverines are on the road again  to play the South Medford Panthers at 4:30  p.m. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.
 Willamette had a rough season last year, but they look ready to turn that poor record around this year. They fell  8-5 to Roseburg in Saturday's  second game.
  Myles Cox made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and  scored a  run while going 2-for-3. The team also got some help courtesy of  Andrew Evans, who  went 1-for-1 with a  triple and a  run.
 Meanwhile, South Medford suffered a  tough 15-5 defeat at the hands of North Medford  in Saturday's  second game. South Medford has now  taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
 South Medford saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was  Tristan Mallari, who  scored a  run while going 1-for-2.
 Willamette's loss  ended  a  three-game streak of away wins  and  brought them to 9-3. As for South Medford, their record is now 5-8.
