Soccer Recap: Mathews' Undefeated Season over After Three Games

After soaring to six goals the game before, Mathews was a bit more limited in their contest on Monday. They fell just short of the Rappahannock Raiders by a score of 1-0. The loss put an end to Mathews' undefeated start to the season.

Having lost for the first time this season, Mathews fell to 1-1-1. As for Rappahannock, their win (their first of the season) made their record 1-1-1.

Looking ahead, Mathews will square off against Westmoreland at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Rappahannock, they will take on Middlesex at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Rappahannock will need to watch out since Middlesex has now posted at least four goals every time they've taken the pitch this season.
