Volleyball Recap: Apollo Takes a Loss

Apollo was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They lost 3-0 to the Valley Vista Monsoon. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Hawks of the 3-0 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in October of 2024.

Apollo's defeat dropped their record down to 4-9. As for Valley Vista, their win ended a five-match drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 3-11.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming matchups. Apollo will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Tolleson at 6:00 p.m. on the 14th. As for Valley Vista, they will venture away from home to challenge Shadow Ridge at 6:00 p.m. on Monday.
