Baseball Recap: CSTHEA Takes a Loss

If CSTHEA was riding high fresh off their 8-1 takedown of Lookout Valley last Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Patriots lost 8-2 to the Notre Dame Fighting Irish on Monday. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Fighting Irish this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 10-0 back in March.

CSTHEA saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Connor Dodson, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base. Bryce Daniell was another, scoring a run and stealing three bases while getting on base in two of his three plate appearances.

CSTHEA now has a losing record of 5-6. As for Notre Dame, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 4-11.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. CSTHEA will head out to face off against Red Bank at 5:45 p.m. on Thursday. As for Notre Dame, they will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against Cleveland at 1:00 p.m. on the 26th.
