Softball Recap: Cypress Park Takes a Loss

Cypress Park was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their 20th straight defeat dating back to last season. They came up short against the Cypress Lakes Spartans, falling 10-1. The Tigers were not able to make up for their loss to the Spartans from their previous meeting back in April of 2024.

Eliza Covarruvias made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and scored a run and stole three bases while getting on base in all four of her plate appearances. Those three stolen bases gave her a new career-high.

Cypress Park's defeat dropped their record down to 0-3. As for Cypress Lakes, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 5-2.

Cypress Park wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next game, a 10-5 loss against Morton Ranch on the 22nd. As for Cypress Lakes, they have also already played their next match, an 11-0 defeat against Waller on the 25th.
