Stanwood proved they can win big last Wednesday (they won by seven) but on Friday they proved they can win the close ones too. They had just enough and edged the Archbishop Murphy Wildcats out 5-3. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Stanwood also won the last time the pair played.
Tanner Requa made a big impact no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, tossing two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. Requa was also big at the plate, scoring a run while going 2-for-4.
In other batting news, Connor Clifton was incredible, getting on base in all four of his plate appearances with a triple, a run, and a double. Braedon Requa was another key contributor, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 1-for-3.
