Soccer Game Preview: Southlake Carroll vs. Keller

The Southlake Carroll Dragons will face off against the Keller Indians at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.

Keller will be up against a hot Southlake Carroll team: the squad just extended their winning streak to eight. Southlake Carroll's defense stepped up to hand Timber Creek a 5-0 shutout on Friday. The Dragons' defense has been rock solid lately; the team hasn't given up a goal in their last five contests.

Meanwhile, Keller entered their tilt with Bell on Saturday with three consecutive wins , and they'll enter their next game with four. They blew past the Blue Raiders 4-0. Given the Indians' advantage in MaxPreps' Texas soccer rankings (they are ranked 18th, while the Blue Raiders are ranked 224th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Southlake Carroll's victory was their tenth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 15-1. The wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only given up three goals over those ten games. As for Keller, their win bumped their record up to 10-1.
