Brennan Lindner Turns in Season-Best Performance
On Friday, Pleasanton got the W thanks in part to Brennan Lindner playing the best football he has all season. Lindner rushed for 123 yards and a touchdown on only 12 carries, and also threw for 177 yards and two touchdowns, good enough to set a new career-high in rushing yards in the process. His longest rush was for an impressive 69 yards, which helps to explain his lofty yards per carry total.

Jaysen Cronin was instrumental in extending Pleasanton's winning streak to eight on Friday. West Holt had no answer to Cronin as he picked up 124 receiving yards and two touchdowns.

South Loup pushed their record up to 5-2 with the victory, which was their eighth straight on the road dating back to last season. Paulsen and South Loup will face off against Arcadia/Loup City at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.

Big Game from Connell As Sandhills Valley Won 26-22
Leyton Connell was a major factor in Sandhills Valley's victory over Arcadia/Loup City on Friday. Connell was unstoppable, rushing for 73 yards and a touchdown, while also throwing for 75 yards and two touchdowns.
On the year, Connell has thrown 14 touchdowns while averaging 143.1 passing yards per game. That doesn't tell the whole story though: at this point last year, he was only averaging 4.14 rushing yards per game. This year he is averaging 51.57 rushing yards.
