Football Recap: Riverside Takes a Loss

Riverside fell victim to J.Z. George and their airtight defense on Friday. They took a blow against the Jaguars, falling 39-0. The defeat leaves the Bulldogs still looking for their first win of the season.

A big part of J.Z. George's victory came down to the chemistry between Joshua Fleming and his top target Nehemiah Williams. Fleming rushed for 65 yards and three touchdowns on only six carries while Williams rushed for 76 yards and a pair of scores. Fleming is on a roll when it comes to rushing touchdowns, as he's now punched in two or more in each of the last three games he's played.

Riverside's loss dropped their record down to 0-4. As for J.Z. George, the win got them back to even at 2-2.

Coming up, Riverside will welcome McAdams at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for J.Z. George, they will head out to take on Bruce at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Jaguars will need to watch out since the Trojans have now posted at least 31 points every time they've taken the field this season.
