Basketball Recap: Eight Straight Road Wins for Croswell-Lexington

Croswell-Lexington lost to Almont back in February of 2024, but they didn't allow them the same satisfaction on Monday. The Croswell-Lexington Pioneers came out on top against the Almont Raiders by a score of 61-48. Given the Pioneers' advantage in MaxPreps' Michigan basketball rankings (they are ranked 145th, while the Raiders are ranked 451st), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Croswell-Lexington's win was their eighth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 12-5. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 59.0 points over those games. As for Almont, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-11.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Croswell-Lexington will venture away from home to take on Yale at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Yale will roll in looking for their 15th straight victory, something Croswell-Lexington surely won't give up without a fight. As for Almont, they will head out to square off against Algonac at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Almont is facing Algonac at the right time seeing as Algonac is stuck on a 14-game losing streak.
