Basketball Game Preview: Hamilton Southeastern Royals vs. Lawrence Central Bears + Official Tickets

The Hamilton Southeastern Royals will be defending their home court for the first time this season when they go up against the Lawrence Central Bears at 12:30 p.m. on Saturday. The two teams are sauntering into the matchup backed by comfortable wins in their prior games.

On Saturday, Hamilton Southeastern made easy work of Ben Davis and carried off a 54-32 victory. The win continues a trend for the Royals in their matchups with the Giants: they've now won nine in a row.

Hamilton Southeastern had a senior duo take command as Kennedy Holman went 8-for-11 en route to 22 points in addition to seven rebounds and three steals and Kayla Stidham dropped a double-double with 21 points and 11 boards. Holman is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in each of the last five games she's played dating back to last season. Another player making a difference was Antonette Green, who posted four points.

Hamilton Southeastern was working as a unit and finished the game with 11 assists. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Ben Davis only posted three.

Meanwhile, a well-balanced attack led Lawrence Central over Westfield in every quarter on their way to victory on Wednesday. Given that consistent dominance, it should come as no surprise that the Bears blew the Shamrocks out of the water with a 76-39 final score. The matchup was all but wrapped up at the end of the third, by which point the Bears had established a 26-point advantage.

Hamilton Southeastern's victory bumped their record up to 2-0. As for Lawrence Central, their win bumped their record up to an identical 2-0.
