Baseball Game Preview: Northern Lehigh Bulldogs vs. Palisades Pirates

Northern Lehigh is 1-9 against Palisades since April of 2015 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Wednesday. The Bulldogs will be playing in front of their home fans against the Pirates at 4:15 p.m. Neither of those teams managed to put together many runs in their previous contests, so the offenses might be a little more motivated than usual.

Northern Lehigh is headed into Wednesday's match looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their fifth straight game on Monday. They were a single run away from ending the streak, but they lost a 3-2 heartbreaker at the hands of Salisbury Township.

Northern Lehigh saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jayden Christman, who scored a run while going 1-for-3. That run was Christman's first of the season.

Meanwhile, Palisades was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They fell just short of Jim Thorpe by a score of 2-1.

Northern Lehigh's defeat dropped their record down to 1-6. As for Palisades, their loss dropped their record down to 1-3.

Northern Lehigh suffered a grim 10-3 defeat to Palisades in their previous meeting back in April of 2024. Can the Bulldogs avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
