Baseball Recap: Satellite Picks Up Fifth Straight Win at Home

Satellite entered their tilt with Wheaton Academy on Thursday with two consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with three. They never let the Warriors get on the board and left with a 10-0 victory. Considering the Scorpions have won six contests by more than five runs this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.

Satellite got a great performance from Michael Faucher as he didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit over five innings pitched. Faucher has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than two walks in nine consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Brandon Reiter was a standout: he scored three runs and stole a base while going 1-for-3. Brady Roberts was another key player, going 2-for-4 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs.

Satellite lost a few balls and finished the game with three home runs. That's the most home runs they've managed all season.

Satellite's win was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 14-5. Those home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.8 runs on average over those games. As for Wheaton Academy, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-6.

Coming up, Satellite will be playing in front of their home fans against Lake Highland Prep at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Wheaton Academy, they are taking a road trip to square off against Merritt Island at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. The Warriors' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Mustangs have averaged an impressive 7.6 runs per game this season.
