Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Bartlett). They simply couldn't be stopped on Saturday as they easily beat the Tikigaq Harpooners 79-41. The Golden Bears have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won three matches by 36 points or more this season.

Bartlett found their leader in freshman Kennedi Gaines, who dropped a double-double on 30 points and 12 steals. That makes it four consecutive games in which Gaines has scored at least a third of Bartlett's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Aurora Bernard-Alli, who went 6 for 13 on her way to 13 points.

Bartlett was working as a unit and finished the game with 24 assists. That's the most assists they've managed all season.

Bartlett's victory bumped their record up to 4-2. As for Tikigaq, they are on a six-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-5.

Bartlett will head out on the road to take on West Anchorage at 6:00 p.m. on January 13th. Bartlett is facing West Anchorage at the right time seeing as West Anchorage is stuck on a three-game losing streak. Tikigaq does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
