Soccer Game Preview: Wesley Chapel vs. Fivay

The Wesley Chapel Wildcats will head out on the road to square off against the Fivay Falcons at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Wesley Chapel is coming into the game hot, having won their last five games.

Wesley Chapel's defense heads into the match hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Wednesday. They put the hurt on Pasco with a sharp 5-0 victory. The score was all tied up 0-0 at the break, but the Wildcats were the better team in the second half.

They hit Pasco with a four-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Matteo Riano (2), Yousef Ibraham, Dorian Maxson, and Cameron Brunner.

Meanwhile, Fivay can finally bid farewell to their nine-game losing streak thanks to their game on Wednesday. They walked away with a 3-1 win over Angeline Academy of Innovation.

Wesley Chapel is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven contests, which provided a nice bump to their 8-3 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 25 goals over those seven games. As for Fivay, their victory ended a five-game drought on the road and puts them at 2-9.

Wesley Chapel took their win against Fivay when the teams last played back in January by a conclusive 3-0. The rematch might be a little tougher for Wesley Chapel since the squad won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
