Football Recap: Tiverton Takes a Loss

Friday just wasn't the day for Tiverton's offense. They took a blow against the Hope Blue Wave on Friday, falling 49-0. The Tigers lost against the Blue Wave in their previous head to head back in September of 2023, too, but the margin this time around was even wider than the 26-7 score last time.

Hope found their leader in sophomore Neciah Jalloh, who rushed for 129 yards and a pair of TDs on only nine carries, and also picked up 35 receiving yards. Clayton De Pina got in on the action as well, returning a kick for a touchdown.

Tiverton's loss dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Hope, the win got them back to even at 1-1.

Tiverton has already played their next matchup (against Smithfield), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. As for Hope, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next contest, a 14-6 victory against Toll Gate on the 20th.
