Softball Game Preview: Elgin Maroons vs. West Aurora Blackhawks

Elgin hasn't had much luck against West Aurora recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. The Maroons will square off against the Blackhawks at 4:30 p.m. Elgin will be strutting in after a win while West Aurora will be coming in after a defeat.

Elgin gave up the first runs on Monday, but they didn't let that get them down. They walked away with a 7-3 victory over Round Lake.

Meanwhile, West Aurora came up short against South Elgin on Monday and fell 6-2. The loss continues a trend for the Blackhawks in their meetings with the Storm: they've now lost four in a row.

Elgin's win bumped their record up to 5-18. As for West Aurora, their defeat dropped their record down to 14-14.

Elgin suffered a grim 11-1 defeat to West Aurora in their previous meeting back in April. Can the Maroons avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
