Basketball Recap: Boyd Anderson Takes a Loss

Boyd Anderson lost against Coconut Creek back in November of 2022 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Boyd Anderson Cobras lost 45-23 to the Coconut Creek Cougars.

Despite the loss, Boyd Anderson still got an impressive performance from Amariah Tomlinson, who posted eight points along with eight boards and six blocks. With that strong performance, Tomlinson is now averaging an impressive 2.3 blocks per game. The team also got some help courtesy of Garnia Beauvais, who earned three points along with 20 boards and six steals.

Abigail Theophile was her usual excellent self, dropping a double-double on 15 points and 18 rebounds for Coconut Creek. The match was Theophile's fourth in a row with at least ten points. Devonique Thompson was another key player, putting up eight points and five rebounds.

Boyd Anderson's defeat was their third straight at home, which dropped their record down to 1-7. As for Coconut Creek, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 4-4.

Boyd Anderson wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 59-26 loss against South Plantation on the 13th. As for Coconut Creek, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 64-29 win against Taravella on the 13th.
