With a playoff win on the line, Wheeling Central Catholic rose to the challenge on Saturday. They really took it to the Tolsia Rebels for the full four quarters, racking up a 51-8 win. The Maroon Knights' offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.

Leading Wheeling Central Catholic to victory were Kade Koroneos and Nico Kusic. Koroneos gained 120 total yards and three touchdowns, while Kusic threw for 53 yards and three touchdowns. Koroneos' rushing production has been exceptional as that marked his seventh straight game with at least 101 rushing yards. Troy Mortakis was in the mix too, providing Wheeling Central Catholic with one score.

The victory (which was Wheeling Central Catholic's third in a row) raised their record to 7-2. Those wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 42.3 points over those games. As for Tolsia, their loss was their eighth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 3-8.

Looking ahead, Wheeling Central Catholic will face off against Tucker County at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Tolsia does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
