Softball Recap: Five Straight Home Wins for Thompson

Thompson proved they can win big last Tuesday (they won by six) and on Wednesday they proved they can win the close ones too. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Spain Park Jaguars, sneaking past 6-4. The victory continues a trend for the Warriors in their matchups with the Jaguars: they've now won eight in a row.

Thompson's win was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 20-2. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.6 runs on average over those games. As for Spain Park, their loss dropped their record down to 8-7.

Coming up, Thompson will take on Doyle in a tournament on Friday. As for Spain Park, they will head out on the road to square off against Austin at 4:30 p.m. on Monday.
