Notre Dame suffered a letdown when it was bounced from the state Top 25 this week after a 34-13 loss to West Haven. The Green Knights had been ranked 24th, but fell to 41 following the defeat.

Hand took down Cheshire 35-7 last week, the largest margin of any game.

Notre Dame's offense was tough to stop this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver. Christian Lupoli threw for 12 yards and Drew Arciuolo had 17 yards receiving. On the ground Cameron Tucker chipped in 323 yards. Sal Esposito helped Notre Dame's passing attack out by catching one ball for nine yards.

The Blue Devils' Javon Taylor and Ervin Philips have formed a dynamic duo this season, leading Southern Connecticut Division I - East in both passing and receiving yards. Taylor has thrown for 197 yards this season, while Philips, a 5-foot-11 receiver, has three catches for 111 yards. Tom Marcucci's team's Tucker leads the league in rushing yards with 635.

A big matchup in the league this week will be when the Rams take on the Green Knights. Cheshire is currently in third, while Notre Dame is in fourth.

West Haven made the biggest jump in the national rankings this week, rising to 1,636 from 2,117. The improvement came about via a 34-13 victory over the Green Knights last week.
