Preview: Evansville Mater Dei Wildcats vs. North Posey Vikings
Evansville Mater Dei is 8-1 against North Posey since December of 2014, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Thursday. The Evansville Mater Dei Wildcats will be playing at home against the North Posey Vikings at 7:00 p.m. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.
It's never fun to lose, and it's even less fun to lose 71-41, which was the final score in Evansville Mater Dei's tilt against Castle on Thursday. While losing is never fun, Evansville Mater Dei can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Indiana basketball rankings (they are ranked 210th, while Castle is ranked 61st).
Meanwhile, North Posey's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Monday after their third straight loss. Their rough 63-42 loss to Evansville Reitz might stick with them for a while.
Evansville Mater Dei bumped their record down to 4-6 with that defeat, which was their fourth straight at home. As for North Posey, their loss dropped their record down to 3-5.
