Basketball Game Preview: MacArthur Generals vs. Westfield Mustangs

MacArthur is 1-9 against Westfield since January of 2020 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Wednesday. The MacArthur Generals will look to defend their home court against the Westfield Mustangs at 7:00 p.m.

MacArthur is headed into the matchup out to prove that what happened against Spring on Saturday (when they were outscored in every quarter) was just a minor bump in the road. MacArthur was dealt a 69-42 loss at the hands of Spring. The Generals were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 36-16.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Westfield, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Wednesday. They snuck past Aldine with a 54-50 victory on Saturday.

Westfield's win was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 15-12-1. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 58.4 points per game. As for MacArthur, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 9-16.
