North Mac and Carlinville are an even 5-5 against one another since October of 2018, but not for long. The Panthers will challenge the Cavaliers at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. North Mac has now lost nine straight, leaving the team hunting for their first win since September 13.

On Monday, North Mac came up short against Auburn and fell 2-0.

While North Mac was not able to make it on the board, they still kept things close, especially in the first set. The final score came out to 25-23, 25-18.

Meanwhile, Carlinville didn't have quite enough to beat Jersey on Monday and fell 2-1. While the Cavaliers didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Panthers 25-21 in the first set.

Carlinville started the match hot and won the first set, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last two. The match finished with set scores of 21-25, 27-25, 25-16.

North Mac's defeat dropped their record down to 4-12. As for Carlinville, their loss dropped their record down to 13-9.

North Mac couldn't quite get it done against Carlinville in their previous meeting back in October of 2024 as they fell 2-0. Can the Panthers avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
