Volleyball Recap: Chaparral Takes a Loss + How To Watch

Chaparral was the 3-0 winner over Vista Murrieta when they last played one another back in September, but their luck changed this time around. The Pumas fell 3-1 to the Broncos on Thursday. The Pumas have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back matches.

Chaparral was was forced to take the loss, but they sure made Vista Murrieta work for it, especially in the first set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 27-25, 24-26, 25-21, 25-19.

Despite the loss, Chaparral still got an impressive performance from Shay Roddy, who had 30 digs and two assists. Roddy is on a roll when it comes to digs, as she's now had 11 or more in each of the last 13 games she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Isla Melton, who had 15 assists and eight digs.

Chaparral's record now sits at 11-15. As for Vista Murrieta, their win bumped their record up to 10-16.

Looking ahead, Chaparral will square off against Murrieta Mesa at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Vista Murrieta, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 2-0 loss against Notre Dame (SO) on the 10th.
