Basketball Game Preview: Stanton Blue Devils vs. KIPP Bold City Greyhounds

The Stanton Blue Devils will venture away from home to face off against the KIPP Bold City Greyhounds at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Stanton has now lost ten straight, leaving the team hunting for their first win since November 26.

On Monday, Stanton lost to Baker County at home by a 65-50 margin. The Blue Devils were down 54-31 at the end of the third quarter, which was just too much to recover from.

Meanwhile, KIPP Bold City posted their biggest win since January 10, 2024 on Saturday. They put the hurt on Parker with a sharp 61-38 victory. Given the Greyhounds' advantage in MaxPreps' Florida basketball rankings (they are ranked 296th, while the Braves are ranked 595th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

The win made it two in a row for KIPP Bold City and bumps their season record up to 10-4. As for Stanton, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-13.

Stanton didn't have too much breathing room in their contest against KIPP Bold City when the teams last played back in January of 2024, but they still walked away with a 59-53 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for Stanton since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
