Basketball Recap: Ysleta Indians vs. Bel Air Highlanders

The Ysleta Indians lost to the Bel Air Highlanders back in February of 2023, but the Ysleta Indians didn't allow the Bel Air Highlanders the same satisfaction on Friday. Ysleta came out on top against the Highlanders by a score of 45-33. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Ysleta.

Jayden Herrera was the offensive standout of the match as he scored 11 points along with five steals. Another player making a difference was Matthew Gonzalez, who scored 13 points.

Bel Air's loss came despite strong showings from Zach Martinez and Izzy Robles. Martinez scored seven points along with three steals, while Robles scored five points. It was the first time this season that Martinez grabbed two or more steals.

Ysleta is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six contests, which provided a massive bump to their 15-9 record this season. As for Bel Air, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 11-14.
