Southampton extended their road winning streak to eight games dating back to last season thanks to a huge performance from Alex Franklin. Everything went the Southampton Mariners' way against the Center Moriches Red Devils on Saturday as the Southampton Mariners made off with a 75-51 victory thanks in part to Franklin, who dropped a double-double on 25 points and 14 rebounds. The match was his sixth in a row with at least ten points.
The team also got some help courtesy of Davon Palmore, who posted 12 points and seven boards. The dominant performance gave him a new career-high in rebounds.
Southampton's win bumped their record up to 15-1. As for Center Moriches, they are on a ten-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-2.
Southampton will challenge Bayport-Blue Point at 6:00 p.m. on Monday.
