Softball Recap: Freedom Area Takes a Loss

Freedom Area was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their ninth straight defeat dating back to last season. They came up short against the Riverside Panthers, falling 18-3. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Bulldogs of the 12-3 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in April of 2024.

Freedom Area saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Haydan Baucan, who scored two runs while going 1-for-1.

Freedom Area's record now sits at 0-5. As for Riverside, the victory got them back to even at 1-1.

Coming up, Freedom Area will face off against Burgettstown at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Riverside, a feisty cat fight will be fought as Riverside Panthers challenge Shenango Wildcats at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday.
