Football Recap: Soquel Takes a Loss

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Soquel can now relate to. They were beaten by the Palma Chieftains 28-0 on Friday. The matchup marked the first time this year in which the Knights were not able to get on the board.

Eli Dukes was his usual excellent self, rushing for 235 yards and four TDs while picking up 9.4 yards per carry for Palma. Dukes' rushing production has been exceptional as that marked his fifth straight game with at least 200 rushing yards.

Soquel's defeat dropped their record down to 9-2. As for Palma, their win was their eighth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 11-0.

Soquel does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Palma, they will head out to face off against Los Gatos at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
