Basketball Game Preview: Clarendon Broncos vs. Panhandle Panthers

Clarendon is 1-7 against Panhandle since January of 2017 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Friday. The Clarendon Broncos will be playing at home against the Panhandle Panthers at 6:15 p.m.

On Tuesday, Clarendon came up short against Seminole and fell 58-51. The Broncos have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Meanwhile, Panhandle put another one in the bag on Tuesday to keep their perfect season alive. They strolled past Lubbock Christian with points to spare, taking the game 49-35. Given the Panthers' advantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 39th, while the Eagles are ranked 227th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Panhandle pushed their record up to 9-0 with the victory, which was their eighth straight on the road dating back to last season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 64.1 points per game. As for Clarendon, their defeat dropped their record down to 13-3.
