Southwestern lost to Bunker Hill back in January of 2022, but they didn't allow them the same satisfaction on Friday. The Southwestern Piasa Birds came out on top against the Bunker Hill Minutemen by a score of 38-30.

Southwestern's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Connor Wood led the charge by putting up 11 points and six rebounds. The dominant performance gave Wood a new career-high in boards. The team also got some help courtesy of Ryan Lowis, who posted 11 points and five rebounds.

Southwestern is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 18-13 record this season. Bunker Hill has been struggling recently as they've lost six of their last eight games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 11-19 record this season.

Southwestern does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Bunker Hill, they will challenge Father McGivney Catholic at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Father McGivney Catholic is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 50.6 points per game this season.
