Pickens Academy extended their postseason success on Friday against Spring Garden. They beat the Panthers by the very same score they won with in their prior game: 12-2. The Pirates might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 14 games by seven runs or more this season.

Pickens Academy's win was their eighth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 18-12. The home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.5 runs on average over those games. As for Spring Garden, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 17-12.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Pickens Academy beat the Panthers by a score of 2-0 later that day.
