Volleyball Recap: Howland Comes Up Short

Howland lost against Villa Angela-St. Joseph two weeks ago, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. Howland fell 2-0 to Villa Angela-St. Joseph.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-19, 25-12.

Howland's offense was headlined by Carter Jones and Wesley Fee, who picked up three kills apiece. They got some help from Dylan Nguyen and his five assists. He was also solid from the service line: he led the team with three aces.

Howland's defeat was their fifth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 3-4. As for Villa Angela-St. Joseph, their victory bumped their record up to 2-3.

Howland didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 2-1 loss against Berkshire on the 29th. As for Villa Angela-St. Joseph, they will face off against Independence at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Villa Angela-St. Joseph is facing Independence at the right time seeing as Independence is stuck on a four-game losing streak.
