Basketball Recap: Heritage Academy Comes Up Short

Heritage Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They came up short against Applewood Christian, falling 82-56. The Warrior were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced Applewood Christian earlier this season, when they won 62-60.

When it comes to explaining why Heritage Academy lost, don't look at Kylen Larson. Despite the final result, he posted 28 points and six boards. The dominant performance gave Larson a new career-high in points. Another player making a difference was Nick Kespohl, who earned 11 points.

Heritage Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 8-10. As for Applewood Christian, the victory got them back to even at 7-7.

Heritage Academy will have a little extra prep time after the loss as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Liberty Christian Academy at 7:00 p.m. on February 21st. Applewood Christian does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
